Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third installment in the Super Smash Bros. series. The game was delayed due to development issues. It was finally released March 9, 2008 in the United States.

     The game was the first to include third-party characters. These are Sonic the Hedgehog and Snake from Metal Gear. The game also was the first in the series to include wireless gaming battles.

     The game features a single player called The Subspace Emissary mode. By playing this mode, gamers were able to unlock characters the easy way.

     As of March 2013, the game sold over 11.56 copies. It is the 8th best selling Wii game. The game received positive reviews from various sources.
