The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the 16th Legend of Zelda game.  The game was developed by Nintendo EAD.  It was released worldwide in November 2011.  The game makes use of the Wii MotionPlus.

     Gamers could purchase a limited edition version that came with a gold Wii Remote.  First run of both editions featured a soundtrack CD.  This CD celebrated the 25 years of The Legend of Zelda.

     The plot of game puts the game as the first in the timeline.  It features the origins of the Master Sword and Ganon.

     The game had a technical issue that would prevent the gamer from getting further in the game.  Nintendo released a patch on the Wii Shop Channel to correct it.

     The game received several positive reviews and many of those were perfect scores.  The game sold over 2.90 million units in just one month.  The game has sold over 3 million copies.
