The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD was a remake of the 2002 Nintendo GameCube classic.  The game was developed and published by Nintendo.  The game was released in Japan on September 26, 2014.  It was released on October 4, 2014 in North America and Europe and the next day in Australia.

The game is the first in the series to have full HD graphics.  The game also had Off-TV Play which allows players to play on the Wii U GamePad.

Several changes were implemented in the game to make the game easier to play and less tedious.  Sailing was also made faster between locations.

Players can start off in Hero Mode instead of completing the game.  Players can toggle this before starting the game each time.  In Hero Mode, enemies do twice as much damage and no hearts during game play.  Players have to use potions to heal.

The game received excellent reviews after its release.  Some early previews said that the game's new graphic style.  Many said the new graphics were excellent and the game kept with tradition.  As of June 2015, the game has sold 1,570,000 copies.  The game helped to sell Wii U consoles especially in Europe.
