Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury was a Nintendo Switch enhanced and expanded port of the Wii U game. The game was part of Nintendo 3th anniversary for Super Mario. The game was developed by Nintendo and 1-Up Studio. Nintendo published the game. It was released on Feburary 12, 2021.
The game received enhancements to gameplay. Online gameplay was added as well as local wireless mode. Improvments were also made to the Captain Toad levels, that were inspired from Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.
Bowser's Fury is an additional standalone adventure. The player controls Mario through Lake Lapcat a 3D, cat-themed open world to complete challenges and collect "Cat Shines" to dispel a black sludge that's infecting the land and free "Fury" Bowser from its control.
As of June 30, 2021, the Switch version had sold 6.68 million units worldwide.
